Words said, words written, live long after the sources have turned to dust. They are quoted here to further the conversation. Thesis and antithesis creates what the thinking mind strives for: synthesis. Let the learning continue and thrive…
“There’s a lot of this dysfunction going on in the American system, the corruption in Washington, the animosity within the United States as a whole. So we want to break away from all that and set a new path forward. To establish for ourselves some kind of progressive republic on the western shores of North America.”

Right now, I am terrified to share the things that I think. Terrified to know I have months and years of my opinions on Facebook and elsewhere. Yet I keep on. Whatever happens, happens.
Due to the worsening / worrying scalawag activities within the PNP – it is high time for PRRD to declare a total war against criminals in uniform, similar to his war against illegal drugs trafficking in the country. Criminals in uniform (active members of law enforcement agencies) are much worst in impact to our society that illegal drug pushers and their protectors.
Why was there no artillery support given despite the pleas of the police commanders? Because there was no prior coordination on the operation and you were not given the exact grid coordinates. Putangina! For 12 hours? You should have at least fired blank artillery rounds, or fired white phosphorus on the long and wide Mamasapano River, so that the dying troops may have at least thought that they were supported before their last breath.
You did not rescue the SAF troops, despite their dying pleas, because you did not want to displease a president, who probably was on his lucid intervals, and who salivated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Putangina pa rin!
And you call yourselves commanders and commander-in-chief?
And you sleep soundly at night?

Why has the PNP come to this? To commit a crime of this nature and magnitude in what is suposed to be the inner sanctum of law enforcement in this country is simply beyond words. Hasn’t the PNP, like the AFP, always been led by products of LC?

For my patriotic Cavalier friends, citing “democracy” as the main reason for the anarchy happening in this country today.
There is a story, often told, that upon exiting the Constitutional Convention Benjamin Franklin was approached by a group of citizens asking what sort of government the delegates had created. His answer was: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

The PNP should investigate the kidnapping case of the korean national from the Drug War perspective not just from a kidnapping and murder perspective. Is it possible for these police officers to have been paid by drug lords to kidnap a foreign national and kill him inside Crame. Killing the victim inside Crame is the best way of destroying the credibility of the Chief PNP and the President himself who are leading the war on drugs.
Suddenly, I recalled the stacatto of booming voices of upperclassmen in the hallways and mess hall of PMA. Shouting, whispering, and, “report to me” looks. Those gentle and re-assuring pats on the shoulders and head. Those teebars, shovels, etc(not a pretty recollection). Suddenly, I was swept into a conference room filled with cavaliers. The very same upperclassmen, but now older and matured, briefing the president and the cabinet. Last and this brought me to a realization, I was suddenly swept back to my sweet mother’s (God bless her soul) kitchen. She, once again (for the umpteenth time), told me ” I told you so…” Morale of my story – The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

“We have to focus our efforts towards internal cleansing. And by the time na ma-cleanse natin ang PNP, the President will determine that and he will instruct us to go back on the war on drugs. But right now, no more drug operations,”

“You have lived through the unbelievable pressure of the White House. You have listened to harsh criticism of your parents by people who had never even met them. You stood by as your precious parents were reduced to headlines. Your parents, who put you first and who not only showed you but gave you the world. As always, they will be rooting for you as you begin your next chapter. And so will we.”

President-Elect Donald Trump
A Lesson in Diplomacy: Prime Minister Shinzuro Abe, leader of Japan, the world’s 4th largest economy, has demonstrated to Pres. Duterte that this is how national leaders communicate with each other. Japan invaded the Philippines in WW2 and certainly the atrocities committed by its troops are still remembered but there was no cursing this time. Abe has been well advised and what he has done was a masterful diplomatic stroke that I hope will not be lost on our President, used to his style of dealing with cutthroats and small-time criminals. I also hope the Bong Go will know where to position himself in times like this. Was that UniQlo Mr. Abe was wearing?
“Never in the colorful history of this country have we witnessed an idle and non-performing Vice President be given so much attention, space and image build up by a supposedly objective and neutral mass media.”
I tried witchcraft to make Trump lose.
On Lenileaks: I wish them all the success.
I can’t imagine how horrific the practice of eating “man’s best friend” in the name of culture. Countries like China, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand need to stop the practice. I am glad the Philippines outlawed the practice of eating dog meat with stiff penalty including jail time years ago.
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.

Hazing takes in as many forms as there are as many cadets. And it evolves over the years. The thing here is when we graduate, we are more proud we overcame it, rather than condemn the act. After all, many grads feel that had a harder time than today’s cadets.
On How Gen Bato run for safety from a smoking firecracker: How he scampers quickly and brush aside the two staff officers so he can be shielded from the ensuing explosion …… shows he has strong natural instinct of survival. One will wonder how Edgar Matobato, the prime ‘asset’ of the Heinous Section of the Davao City Chief of Police Office would react if he sees this video.
You are a disgrace. You concoct stories about a short video of a spur of the moment natural human reaction. I am sure Gen Bato has no beef against you and i am sure he has done more for the country than you do. Wala sa kalingkingan. Its a shame…

Hope the opposition keeps opposing the policies and actions which must be opposed, in order to maintain our democracy Democracy is less efficient than dictatorship, but it is self-correcting. A bad dictator just keeps getting worse, until overthrown.
